Before becoming a Registered Associate Nutritionist with The Association for Nutrition, I studied a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and graduated with upper second class honours. It was here that I got an insight into why people make the food choices that they do, but I felt that I needed to better understand the impact of those food choices on the body itself.
I decided to study a Master of Science degree in Nutrition in Practice at Leeds Beckett University and unable to shake my background in psychology, I embarked on an independent research project, examining the effects that unhealthy food advertising has on purchasing decisions. I also chose to take on a placement within the NHS working to develop a nourishing drinks resource to be used by children with faltering growth.
At the end of 2024, I successfully graduated with upper second class honours and continued spreading my passion for the latest nutrition science through my work in the health retail industry before going onto set up my freelance practice, Create Real Nutrition.
We live in a world where we are surrounded by information about food, health and wellbeing, which can make navigating nutrition advice and making informed food choices feel overwhelming.
My mission is to help you cut through the confusion and create environments that make healthier choices easier. By focusing on practical, evidence-based nutrition and recognising the impact our surroundings have on eating behaviours, we can support sustainable habits that benefit both physical and mental wellbeing.
I believe that small, realistic changes can have a meaningful impact. Together, we can build food environments that support health, enjoyment and long-term wellbeing.
Small changes can make a big difference. Through personalised, evidence-based nutrition support, I'll help you build habits that fit your life and support your health for years to come.
